The Children's Desert is a project that started in 2005 and consists of a solidarity journey a group of Spaniards undertake to Morocco with children as the main protagonists.  The object is to visit a number of schools in the country's most remote villages and bring them school materials as well as other kinds of help and support.

On this particular occasion, JAUSAS has joined a group of sponsoring companies (among which are companies like Goodyear, Hyundai o Aquarius) to support a Dental Health Project under the leadership of two dental surgeons who are accompanying the group. They have given notions of dental health and hygiene in all the places they have gone to and distribute thousands of tooth brushes and other materials.

This year, the group has been made of a total of 198 participants - 85 of whom are children between the ages of 5 and 14. They have been travelling 4000 kms. from North to South for a period of 9 days and have given out more than 2 tons of school materials to Moroccan pupils. They have also promoted cultural exchanges between them and Spanish children through a number of programmed activities.
