Nieves Briz is an expert in acquisitions and due diligence processes and has taken part in over one hundred operations of this kind. She has participated in due diligence processes in sectors as diverse as finance, property, pharmaceuticals, textiles and energies, on behalf of both national and international clients.
She also advises on contractual and business matters and manages the planning and execution of complex operations such as international mergers, splits and contributions of branches of activity.
She has 30 years of experience as an M&A lawyer at Ernst & Young, where she was a partner from 1998 until she joined JAUSAS.
She has been a teacher of commercial law at ESADE Business School for several years, taught M&A as part of the ISDE Master in Legal Practice from 1997 to 2000, and also worked as a trade law teacher at ESADE from 1998 to 2000. She has also been a speaker in courses and seminars in Spanish and English while working for Ernst & Young in Spain and abroad. She has discussed topics related to law, management and professional skills development.
