Josep Carbonell is the leading IP lawyer in Spain, head of the JAUSAS Industrial and Intellectual Property Department comprising four lawyers and five paralegals, he is an expert in industrial and intellectual property, unfair competition, competition law and ICT.
Before joining JAUSAS, he was the partner director of March & Asociados, and director of Clarke, Modet & Co law firm. Since November 2008 he has been a member of the JAUSAS Supervisory Board.
He advises national companies and international corporations on their register strategies and protecting their brands and inventions. He has extensive experience in negotiating licensing agreements and contracts for the assignment of all kinds of intellectual property rights, as well as their defence in court, at both national and international level.
He has been a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) for the past two decades, and since 1999 has worked as a legal advisor for the Terrassa Business Confederation (CECOT) in industrial property matters.
