Wednesday 16 December will see the holding in JAUSAS's Barcelona office of a working breakfast analysing the Farmaindustria (the Spanish pharmaceutical industry employers' association) personal data protection code in the field of clinical research and pharmacovigilance, which came into force in June of this year.

The session will be headed by Noelia de Miguel, JAUSAS Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Law Department Associate and a specialist in data protection in the field of healthcare. The speaker will tackle the most important points of this wide-ranging regulation, aiming to provide solutions to the problems raised by its practical implementation.

In September, De Miguel took part in a similar event organised by the Health Research Foundation (FUINSA) and held in Madrid, which benefitted from the presence of Jesús Rubí, Deputy Director of the Spanish Data Protection Agency. The event was a great success, with more than 150 attendants in the Club Financiero auditorium.
