Cristina del Val, as member of the Department of Food and Agriculture Law from JAUSAS, took part in the conference on "Functional foods: the impact of regulations 107/2008 and 109/2008", organised by the publisher Unidad Editorial. The conference took place in Madrid on 5th November and was dedicated to assess the expected impact on and reaction from the food industry as a result of the change in regulation caused by the passing of Regulation 1924/2006 about nutritional information and the health properties of foods. It also assessed the impact of regulations 107/2008 and 109/2008 which modify the law as regards the transition period applicable to the statements on health properties and to the Comitology procedure.  The presentation by Cristina del Val was on "How to label and advertise within the Spanish legal framework".
