Noelia de Miguel, associate lawyer and member of the JAUSAS Department of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Law, will be taking part with a talk entitled The processing of biotechnology patents. Also participating, amongst others, will be Dr. Peter Klatt, Advisor to the Ministry of Science and Innovation's Secretariat of State for Research, Dr. Dimitris Kyriakou, of the European Commission's Institute for Prospective Technological Studies, Joint Research Centre (Seville), Amelia Martín, Secretary of the Spanish Innovative Medicines Technology Platform, Dr. Carlos María Romeo, Director of the Inter-University Chair in Law and the Human Genome, UBC, Francisco Fernández Brañas, Director of Biotechnology at the European Patent Office (Munich) and Johanna Gibson, Director of the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Research Institute (London).
