JAUSAS organises a working breakfast to analyse Spain’s recent labour reforms

15/07/2010

Organiser: Labour Law Department
Location: Barcelona headquarters
Speaker: August Torà , Emma Vicente
Sectors and Practice Areas: Labour law

The session will take place on the coming 15 July at 9:30 a.m. at the practice’s Barcelona headquarters and is particularly aimed at Managing Directors, HR Directors, Chief Executives, Legal Counsels and Finance Directors.

The labour market reforms came into force by means of a Royal Decree Act passed on 18 June, and mean important changes in staff hiring and redundancy compensation, amongst other aspects. It is particularly important that companies gain an in-depth understanding of these reforms and the extent to which they may affect their current and future business strategies.

Using the now-traditional "working breakfast" format, speakers August Torà and Emma Vicente, members of the firm's Labour Law Department, will analyse the key points of the new regulations and will help to resolve any doubts or questions attendants may have, in an eminently practical session.

AGENDA

The planned agenda includes special analysis of the following issues:

1.- Temporary employment and training contracts.

2.- Measures promoting internal flexibility. Geographical mobility. Substantial modification of conditions. Reduction in working hours.

3.- Employment promotion measures. Promotion of indefinite employment contracts and subsidised contracts.

4.- Termination for objective reasons and mass redundancy. Redundancy costs and how they affect current workforces and future hiring.

Given that there is a limited capacity, those wishing to attend should confirm their presence by calling Xavier García Vallejo on (+34) 93 415 00 88.
