The growing concern within the business community about the losses caused by early settlement or cancellation of swaps has given rise to very recent legislative (in the Motion approved by the Senate last 6 October) and jurisprudential measures (in civil and bankruptcy law).

The conference will be held on 18 November in Barcelona, in the Auditorium of the Círculo Ecuestre, and will be attended by the following specialists in Financial and Banking Law: Prosper Lamothe, Professor of Financial Economics at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Jordi Ruiz de Villa, JAUSAS partner, Fernando Zunzunegui, Professor of Banking and Stock Market Law at the Charles III University in Madrid, Agustín Bou, JAUSAS partner and specialist in Bankruptcy Law, and Esteve Sarroca, President of the Catalan Economists' Association's Financial Economics Committee.
