On this particular occasion the fourth meeting called by Foro Fide Healthcare dealed with "Food safety and nutrition". Sergi Erill, Professor of Pharmacology, chaired the event. The speakers were Estrella Bengio, Director of Food Regulating Matters in Europe at the Abbott Laboratories, and Félix Lobo, Professor of Applied Economics at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid.    

The convention took place in Madrid on 13th November and raised questions such as the importance of nutrition in general, adequate nutrition and nutritional dysfunctions like anorexia, bulimia or obesity, malnutrition and its impact on health and the NAOS strategy.
